Background
Phene has always fancied herself a creative person with many entrepreneurial endeavors. Unlike many of her peers, she chose to leave the corporate world and co-founded a CBD beverage company, UNITY, in 2018. Leading the company’s marketing efforts in both B2B and D2C, she was exposed to all aspects of business development and what it truly means to be an entrepreneur.
She started a side hustle helping like-minded people and small businesses get their ideas off the ground because she enjoyed it so thouroughly. In November 2022, she decided it was time to start THEO. What started as a side hustle has quickly become her day-to-day. But you know what they say, you never work a day if you love what you do. ;)
So, if you are a budding entrepreneur, a small business owner, or just looking for some guidance, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
Why THEO?
Phene was fortunate to be born in England to two lovely parents, who initially thought she would be born a boy. They wanted to name her Theodore (Theo for short). But when a little girl appeared, they named her after her mother, Tryphena.
But as a female entrepreneur who has worked in many male-dominated industries, Phene now refers to her masculine and powerful energy as Theo.
Whether we like it or not, we live in a world where we are told how to act based on gender. We shy away from sharing certain characteristics for fear of judgment or rejection. But the truth of the matter is that we all have a different combination of masculine and feminine characteristics that make us who we are.
